多媒体手段已经逐渐取代粉笔黑板成为语言教学的主要教学工具。多媒体技术对语言教学具有增加信息容量、丰富教学活动的呈现方式、拓展学生的学习时空、将教学内容化难为易和变抽象为具体等优点;但同时也容易产生教学上重形式轻文本、弱化学习者对语言文字的理解功能、削弱对教学重点难点的关注等弊端。因此,以积极态度准确定位和适当使用多媒体技术,主动开发多媒体语言教学的课程资源,精心策划多媒体教学过程和精选巧用多媒体教学工具,并且不把多媒体作为评价语言教学的硬性指标,是有效提高多媒体语言教学效果的基本保障。
