重液变温法可以较精确测定矿物比重,精度可达0.001左右。测定时用样量小;并能将同种矿物的不同亚种矿物比重测出来;操作简单易行。下面以测定吉林硅灰石的比重为例,简要说明如下。一、重液的配制首先选择比重大于预测矿物的重液。硅灰石的理论比重值是2.78~2.91,为测定方便,我们首先配制比重大于2.91的2.93重液。利用图解法选择好重液配制的比例。
