中国画的人物,体现在“线”上。线在人物画中不仅概括表现了人物的原本形态与结构,还能强化表现人物的内在神态特征。同时,线能够体现画者的艺术功底与修养,这种以线为画的形式,用形塑神,与西方的素描有显著的差异。而且,当线条所体现出的这种绘画品格与色彩合为一体时,不仅极大地丰富了人物画的原生结构,而且构成了人物画独特的品格韵致。白描法属中国画技法体系,中国传统白描人物画到魏晋,已是较成熟的绘画形式,此后历代皆有大家,唐代的吴道子,北宋的李公麟,元代的赵孟頫,
