DPL-I大屏幕显示系统,由APPLE-Ⅱ微机控制,显示面积一平方米,显示象素采用红色发光二极管.本系统既可用作计算机教学的大屏幕显示,亦可作为进行讯息交流的新一代广告显示系统.可显示中、西文文字及各种动、静态图形.系统的每一个象素由显示缓冲单元的一个位控制,在程序控制下,该位置1时所控制象素点亮,反之则灭.一个显示缓冲单元为一个八位的八D锁存器,各缓冲单元的编址使用APPLE-ⅡI/O空间的1k个地址单元,这就使得显示缓冲区可作为APPLE-Ⅱ内存的一部分来对待.因而所需显示的内容,完全可利用APPLE-Ⅱ微机系统提供的硬、软件资源,实现讯息的输入,存贮和输出显示.
