“口头剧本”是指艺人在表演中即兴创作而成的剧本形式,其舞台演出俗称“提纲戏”、“路头戏”、“幕表戏”、“搭桥戏”、“爆肚戏”、“水戏”等。①“口头剧本”渊源深厚。我国早期戏剧大多为即兴式演剧,无文学剧本可稽,如汉魏优戏、唐代参军戏、宋代杂剧等。明清时代,除昆剧和部分高腔乱弹梆子外,大部分剧种最初亦无剧本或不完全依据剧本表演。目前,全国依然有数十个剧种在使用口头剧本演出。这样影响深远、广泛存在的剧本形式究竟是如何编创的?具有怎样的形态特征?
