盐亭县林山公社地处北川北唐巴公路中段,海拔474.5米,相对高度100～200米,属深丘地带。社境位于三条沟头,中间高,四周低,是湍江、(氵弥)江的分水岭。境内分布着紫色砂泥岩发育的钙质紫色土。全社1200多户,5100多人口;农耕地6000余亩(水田1800亩)约占总面积的四分之一。其地形地貌和地质均不利于兴建蓄水工程,历来都无较大的水利措施。六十年代这里是坡光山秃,遍地石滩,水源奇缺,草木难生,水土流失严重,呈现一片触目惊心的荒凉景象。六十年代末,全社人民在党的领导下,因地制宜,全面规划,实行山、水、田、林、路、沼综合治理,取得了综合效益。
Yanting County, Lin Shan commune is located in Beichuan North Tang Pa Road middle, 474.5 meters above sea level, the relative height of 100 to 200 meters, is a deep hill area.
