The parameters that characterize the natural vibration characteristics of the building structure—the natural period, the vibration mode, and the damping ratio—are important parameters in structural dynamic analysis and seismic design calculations. In particular, the basic natural period T_0 of the structure is the basis for determining the seismic influence coefficient α(T_0). Due to the complex structure of building structures and the performance of building materials, node construction, and construction quality, there are great differences.
