文化变迁造就的产物

古代文明和现代文化激情碰撞,得出的产物一定可以冠以“融贯古今”的名号,不过汽车确实在融汇各地文化背景,贯通发达与落后国家间做出了贡献。在20世纪40年代初,也就是黑人家庭(本图)陆续离开佛罗里达州的大萧条时期,汽车成为他们在日常生活中不可缺少的必需品,然而到了十年后,美国的中部地区已经无法摆脱对汽车生活的依赖,即使是短得像郊游一般的旅程。
At the beginning of the 1940s, the African-American family(above) leaving Florida during the Great Depression genuinely relied on the car for their everyday lives. A decade later middle America had come to rely on the car for even the shortest journey.
1938年雪佛兰大师系列DE LUXE和1936年的Studebaker史蒂倍克总统(本图)是典型的上一代,在最新的造型方向,而只是对打开相机的汽车早期的热棒的外观。
The 1938 Chevrolet Master Series De Luxe and the 1936 Studebaker President (foreground) were typical of the previous generation; the latest in styling directions, and the car just turning towards the camera has the look of an early hot rod.
