中国古典诗学注重诗歌的形式之美，从语言的辞采、声律、对仗、用典等各个方面切入诗语内在特征的研究，以此强化诗语的审美特征，增强诗语符号的可感知性，使诗语在外在形式上即获得普通语言所不具备或不明显的艺术特征，在能指层面以巨大的作用构成诗歌的审美因素。
