英国小说家简.奥斯丁在她的六部小说中创造了许许多多栩栩如生、贴近生活的人物形象以及他们各自的生活经历和各种不同的命运。通过探讨文学对其小说中的人物的影响,说明奥斯丁对文学与生活的关系的深刻认识:文学是为了陶冶情操、为了娱乐,而不等同于生活,以此提醒同时代的女性读者分清文学与现实生活的关系,以免对自己的生活造成不好的影响,这体现了奥斯丁作为小说家的强烈的社会责任感,同时这也为后来现实主义小说在十九世纪的蓬勃发展奠定了基础。
Jane Austen, a British novelist, has created many lifelike, life-like characters in her six novels, as well as their own life experiences and different destinies. By investigating the influence of literature on the characters in her novels, it shows that Austin has a profound understanding of the relationship between literature and life.
