To date, many reports have examined one of the reasons why viral infections may be idiopathic peripheral facial paralysis (Bell’s palsy). The most suspicious are varicella-zoster virus and herpes simplex virus. In addition, there are rubella, parotitis and Epstein-Barr virus. There are very few reports of early-onset chickenpox. This article reports two cases of chickenpox-induced facial paralysis. The first 5-year-old girl developed typical chickenpox 3 days after facial paralysis and was identified as chickenpox by clinical examination and serum antibody titer (titer of the anti-varicella zoster virus titer measured by the immunohemagglutination test, 1: 128). This case of facial paralysis due to nervous system due to chickenpox. The second case of 5-year-old boy, diagnosed as chickenpox due to rash, facial paralysis 45 days later, 2 weeks after facial paralysis and mumps. Authors
