[Objective] To optimize the ultrasonic extraction process of tannins from Rhodiola crenulata(Hook.f.et Thoms.)H.Ohba.[Method] Based on single factor experiment, the extraction conditions were optimized by orthogonal test, and the content of tannins was determined by casein method.[Result] The optimal extraction conditions were as follows:70% acetone as extraction solvent,solid-liquid ratio of 1:10,ultrasonic power of 450 W and extraction duration of 15 min.Under the above conditions, the content of tannins from Rhodiola crenulata(Hook.f.et Thoms.)H.Ohba reached as high as 5.17 mg/ml.[Conclusion] The study provides theoretical evidence for the extraction of tannins from Rhodiola crenulata(Hook.f.et Thoms.)H.Ohba.
