Objective To explore the impact of physical training on the mental health of female college students and to provide evidence for improving the mental health of college students. Methods Sixty female college students in physical training courses of a medical college were trained for one semester by physical training method, and SCL-90 was used before and after training. Results The total SCL-90 scores of 60 female undergraduates dropped significantly after physical training (t = -2.46, P <0.05), and this decline was more obvious in students with mental health status (t (T = -2.41, P <0.05, P <0.05). The results were as follows: forced (t = -3.97, P <0.05), interpersonal sensitivity (t = -2.41, Paranoid (t = -2.70, P <0.05) and psychotic (t = -3.17, P <0.05). Conclusion Physical training can promote the mental health of female college students without mental health problems, but can not improve the mental health status of students with mental health problems.
