《交友论》与《逑友篇》分别是利玛窦与卫匡国编的论友谊的西方格言集,取材相仿,内容相近,旨趣相同,但由于年代的差别、处境的不同,又显示出局部与细节等方面的诸多差别。《交友论》没有直接引用基督教圣人话语与圣经,反而多用中国资源来解释西方格言,因利玛窦主要目标是合儒与补儒;卫匡国则直接引用了二者并且多加阐释,在序言中还公开了传教的写作目的,他的目标是超儒。二书都成为了中西合璧的典范之作,在当时和后世都产生了极大影响。
“Friendship Theory” and “Friendship Friendship,” respectively, are the Western motto sets of friendship between Matteo Ricci and Wei Kuanguo.
