近二十年来实践证明,在连续沉积地层中可见到岩性突变。现代古生物学的“间断平衡论”认为生物演化也多由于突变。环境往往受到某些事件的影响,事件虽不是同时的,但近等时是可以确认的。因而可以其作为划分年代地层界线的依据。以这突变论思想为指导,并采用综合研究方法,在理论上是符合自然界事物由量变到质变的发展规律的。在实践上这种“发生过事件”的界线明显,容易划分,便于应用,这必将会促进地层界线的研究进程。
Nearly two decades have shown that lithological mutations can be seen in continuous sedimentary formations. The theory of “discontinuous equilibrium” in modern paleontology holds that the evolution of biology is mostly due to mutation. The environment is often affected by certain events, though the events are not simultaneous, but the time is right for confirmation. Therefore, it can be used as the basis for dividing the stratigraphic boundaries of the ages. Guided by this theory of catastrophe, and adopting a comprehensive research method, it is theoretically in line with the law of development from quantitative change to qualitative change in nature. In practice, this kind of “incident occurred” is clearly divided, easily divided, and easy to be applied, which will surely promote the study of stratigraphic boundaries.
