Eight trace elements of aluminum, calcium, magnesium, copper, zinc, iron, silicon and cobalt in cerebrospinal fluid of 37 ischemic stroke patients and 30 normal controls were measured by atomic absorption spectrophotometer. A1, Ca, Zn, Fe and Si in case group were higher than those in control group, with statistically significant difference. Preliminary conclusions: ① From the perspective of geography and medicine, the study of trace elements in the body should be carried out. ② some trace elements in the CSF increased, can not simply be understood as blood-brain barrier rupture may be due to these elements also have metabolic disorders. (3) The increase of Ca and Zn may have more significance for the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of ischemic stroke.
