2010年2月,贵阳市在全国率先开展了以精简层级、转变职能、夯实社区为主要内容的城市基层管理体制改革;2010年10月,贵阳市被列为全国社会管理创新综合试点城市;2012年2月,贵阳市被中央综治委确定为全国大城市从整体上加强和创新社会管理的三个典型之一进行培育。随着贵阳市社会管理创新的不断推进,贵阳市总工会主动作为,通过建机制、打基础,抓源头、化矛盾,强组织、创和谐,探索符合贵阳实际的工会参与推进社会管理的新路子。
