新洲二中位于武汉市新洲区仓埠街文化路,创办干1929年,其前身为私立正源中学,1949年6月由人民政府接管,改为公办,1956年被定名为湖北省新洲二中, 为全省18所重点中学之一,曾为国家两所教改试点中学之一,教育教学质量享誉全省乃至全国。学校现为国家人口教育实验学校,华中师范大学教科院教科研实验基地,湖北教育学院实习基地,武汉市示范学校,武汉市绿化红旗单位。新洲二中校园面积327亩(含学农基地102亩),建筑面积65986平方米。现有教学班60个,在校学生3427人；教职工300余人,其中高级教师61人,特级教师1人；市区学科带头人及优秀青年教师20人。学校教学设施设备齐全,特别是礼堂和艺术楼堪称全市一流。校园宽带网、闭路电视网以及低音广播系统一应俱全。根据新时代基础教育发展的特点,总结二中丰富的历史经验,学校树立了“让学生从信心起步,为学生终生发展奠基”的办学理念；以“厚德益智,和谐发展”为校训,形成了“严格认真,求实创新”的校风,教育质量稳步上升、高考上省线本科2001年为509人；2002年为792人；2003年为886人；2004年1092人过本科线,比例居全市各高中第三,过一批线229人,比例居全市各高中第四。2005年,我校各项指标居全市前列。学校今年拟招新生1200人。
Xinzhou Erzhong 2nd is located in Wenhua Road, Wuku Street, Xinzhou District, Wuhan. Founded in 1929, its predecessor was Zhengyuan Junior High School.
