In the course of institutionalizing China’s social sciences, the collective unconsciousness of the constructor / constructor in the intellectual circles is manifested as a kind of “pre-reflective acceptance” of western social sciences, Embedded in the process of institutionalization and, to a certain extent, shaped the character of the development of Chinese history, politics, economy and social-cultural development. This article is a review of the related Western social science disciplines and the series of theoretical assumptions upon which they are based. The author believes that any one or a social science is based on some kind of philosophical or ideological commitment. The real contribution of Wallerstein’s book, “No Social Science” and “Open Social Science,” lies in the fact that it provides some true producer of knowledge to enable more highly-critical and reflective intellectuals to become another kind of social science knowledge Possibility.
