Objective To investigate whether three-dimensional ultrasound can quickly and effectively achieve systematic fetal anatomy. Methods Fifty fetuses with gestational age from 17 to 21 weeks were subjected to standard two-dimensional ultrasonography and then to three-dimensional ultrasonography. To cover all the anatomic sites, a volumetric image acquisition of 5 fetuses per fetus was performed. Three physicians independently analyzed the images respectively to evaluate the accuracy and completeness of the three-dimensional ultrasound volume image reconstruction technique. The required
