中国古典情感美学观发展到魏晋南北朝时期，出现了划时代的新变：以情为本、尚情重情、畅情求美成为时代美学主潮。这一时期情感美学观具有三个显著特点，即：情感表现的本体论观照视角，情理关系的一体化把握方式，情形（形式）关系的兼美化审美指向。
The development of classical Chinese sentiment and aesthetics evolved into the Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties. The epoch-making new changes appeared: the sentiment-based, the merciless sentiment, the sentimental beauty and the pursuit of beauty became the main trend of the times aesthetics. There are three salient features of the aesthetic view of aesthetics in this period: the perspective of the ontology of the emotional expression, the integrated grasp of the relation of the sensible and the aesthetic point of the aesthetic of the relation (form).
