脱落酸(Abscisic Acid,简称ABA,Mr.264.32)是一种抑制型植物激素。在不同的场合,它可分别拮抗赤霉素(GA)、生长素(IAA)与细胞分裂素(Cyt)。例如,芽与种子的休眠往往取决于GA-ABA的平衡;小麦芽鞘的伸长受IAA的促进,却受ABA抑制;Cyt-ABA的平衡制约着叶片的气孔开闭。棉花蕾铃的脱落,稻麦灌浆期的长短、植物抗旱性与抗寒性的强弱、RNA和蛋白质的合成也都与ABA密切相关。可是,植物体内的ABA含量极微 Abscisic Acid (ABA, Mr.264.32) is an inhibitory plant hormone. It can antagonize GA, IAA and Cyt on different occasions respectively. For example, the dormancy of buds and seeds often depends on the balance of GA-ABA; the elongation of wheat shoot sheath is promoted by IAA but inhibited by ABA; the balance of Cyt-ABA restricts the stomatal opening and closing of leaves. Cotton bud bolting off, grain filling stage, plant drought resistance and cold resistance, RNA and protein synthesis are also closely related with ABA. However, plant ABA content is minimal
