Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) is a technique used to measure the change of sample weight with temperature (or time). This measurement is of great interest in many fields and has found special applications in materials science. It has been shown that TGA plays a good role in explaining the reaction mechanism. FT-IR has been successfully used for gas identification. Therefore, the combination of TGA and FT-IR provides a complete analysis of the sample. The outstanding advantage of this system is the ability to continuously monitor the infrared spectrum of the escaped product.
