采用问卷调查和访谈的方式,以张家口地区五所高校非英语专业的350名大学生为研究对象,对他们的英美文学学习素养进行定量和定性研究。研究结果表明,一半以上的学生认为英美文学课在非英语专业课程中开设很有必要。了解到了这部分非英语专业学生英美文化学习的动机和态度,同时了解到学生对课程设置的需求。尽管这次调查有一定的局限性,这份问卷还是反映了我市英美文学教学中存在的一些问题。基于分析结果提出非英语专业学生英美文学素养提高的策略,进而提高他们的英语自主学习能力,从而为提高大学英语教学提供借鉴。
Using questionnaires and interviews, 350 university students from five non-English majors in the Zhangjiakou area were selected as the research subjects to conduct quantitative and qualitative research on their English and American literacy. The results of the study indicate that more than half of the students believe that it is necessary to set up English and American literature courses in non-English major courses. Learned the motivation and attitude of this part of non-English majors in English and American culture learning, and at the same time learned the students’ needs for curriculum setting. Although this survey has certain limitations, this questionnaire still reflects some problems in the teaching of English and American literature in our city. Based on the analysis results, this paper proposes strategies to improve the English and American literacy of non-English majors, and then improve their English autonomous learning ability, thus providing reference for improving college English teaching.
