Organized by the International Society of Rock Mechanics, the 8th Asian Congress of Rock Mechanics, hosted by the International Society of Rock Mechanics Japan National Team (Japan Rock Mechanics Committee), will be held in Sapporo, Japan from October 14 to October 2014. This meeting is the 2014 annual International Society of Rock Mechanics Annual Meeting, the same period also held a Council of the International Society, the presidium meeting and the various committees and other meetings. Theme of the conference: Natural disasters, environment and energy. The discussion covers all aspects of stone mechanics from theory to engineering practice and the future development of rock engineering and technology.
