  【Abstract】With the high speed development of modern information technology and the popularity of smart phones among college students, internet plus smart phones have become the main means of communication between youngsters.Those simple and handy features make them easily rank top one of today’s college students’ standard necessities.Internet plus smart phones have occupied most of college students’ time confetti; In light of the popularity, we can’t deny the fact that this trend also provides a new option for the college English curriculum design reformation.This article will discuss how to reform the college English course in the current internet and smart phones environment, and strength the application of language curriculum design as the preliminary program.

  In college English curriculum design, we used to focus on the art of teaching and the information, the neat and compactable organization of every visual, vocal, audio and grammar parts , we ignored efficiency and fun.Therefore this opportunity, we can seize to utilize the internet platform combined with the use of smart phones to make English study closer to students life, so can we arouse students’ enthusiasm to learn and to use.
  1.Ideal image of college English curriculum design under internet plus smart phone environment
  According to the relevant statistics, smart phones accounted for more than 95% of usage among college students.And another good news is telecommunication operators is cutting down their fees separately under government administrative policy.The emergence of this new type of communication technology facilitates college English teaching from classrooms to Internets and now expend to the ultra-portables.Students can arrange their time to study more flexibly, which requires English study to be a more modern form.Although there are many other teachers trying to change the current situation facing college English teaching reformation, for example, there are “mooc” lessons available on the Internet, which provide on-line registered lessons for college students.This paper wants to discuss whether there is a possibility to move part of the college English classes to mobile phones.On the one hand, teachers can used the existing popular apps as WeChat, QQ, electronic dictionaries, and other live-chat applications as a supplement to their lessons; On the other hand, teachers can design new applications in correspond to the core teaching contents ---the corresponding ‘APP game courseware center’, which contains simple video games as Word Shooter: shoot the new words down and rank among classmates.   Grammar Adventure: beat the boss and recue your classmates by picking out grammar mistakes and correct them, level 1 to level 10.Short video comedy dubbing: dubbing English songs or lines or cartoon characters and share with your classmates, etc.The motto of college English teaching may change into: Have fun and share with your classmates!
  2.A draft of applied university English curriculum design under the internet plus smart phone environment
  (1) Applied university curriculum design orientation.Applied university English curriculum design can be divided into sectors, for example: everyday use (contains food, traffics); preparation for job-hunting (resume writing, questions and answers); graduation assistant (English abstract, literature search) or more subdivided into professional fields (Financial English, Legal Language, Accounting) and so on.According to their needs, different colleges may choose their preferences or priorities.The next step is recruiting computer software programming talents and game writers to design and update various kinds of corresponding phone App game courseware.When Teachers finish the main content of a unit in the classroom, they can assign home work or group task based on students’ English application level by using mobile phones.
  (2) Difficulties in App courseware design.Applied English teaching curriculum design on the platform of smart phones, should focus on real word applied English, as well as personalized study options, because, students can be various in tastes, interests, cognitive level, and habits.How to combine all the factors into different appealing courseware games are very difficult.Thus, this task needs talents of English teachers, computer software programmers, game designers, to work together as a whole.
  In the support of internet plus smart phones, applied university English course can be a whole new creative field.It facilitates students at an unprecedented speed in transforming the text information into practical use.Learners can watch real-time video news broadcasts, food culture appreciation, read the latest developments in science and technology, practice dubbing, record songs and talking to native speakers in different time zone.This is the era of information explosion.College English teachers are pressured but excited to discover and explore new ways to make college English learning more simple, practical, alluring and fun.
