Multi-probe CT (MDCT), due to its improved temporal and spatial resolution, can be used for noninvasive assessment of cardiac anatomy prior to catheter electrophysiological procedures. Defining the spatial relationship between the phrenic nerve and the main cardiac structure is important in reducing possible complications. The purpose of this study was to reconstruct the movement of the left and right pericardial phrenic bundles using 64-slice MDCT and its relationship with cardiac structure. A total of 106 consecutive patients undergoing 64-slice MDCT with coronary angiography (age 61 ± 13 years; women 39% of them) were enrolled in this study.
