Renal transplantation is currently considered as a viable approach for the treatment of chronic renal failure: however, complications result from long-term immunosuppressive therapy. The authors report on 200 dermatologic complications in more than 500 kidney transplants at the University of Colorado Medical Center and Veteran’s Hospital since 1962. MATERIALS AND METHODS Uncontested patients were examined consecutively for 3 to 108 months after transplantation. The patients ranged in age from 5 to 56 years (mean, 30 years) with 122 males and 78 females. Of the 200 patients, 159 received initial transplants from living donors, 38 were transplanted from dead bodies, 3 were transplanted from unrelated, living donors, and 23 received more than one transplant, of which One accepted
