Iniciativas Habitat (IH Company) first acquired it and carried out a preliminary repair. The “Church Commando” organization subsequently transformed it into a skateboarder’s paradise. The church once belonged to a service complex at the Santa Barbara Dynamite Factory. After the Spanish civil war ended, the explosives factory was shut down and the complex was abandoned. A few years later IH Corporation’s Casimir Fernandez and his children bought the church and, together with their partners, decided to build a skate ramp there to transform the interior of the church into a cultural exhibition space. IH Company and “Church Commando” did not have any institutional support
