50年代初,我考入一所师范学院的历史系,但真正接触历史教学却是1978年以后的事了,这时,自己已经进入人生的晚景,学业早己荒疏,陷入了知识贫乏,力不从心的困境。于是,首先想到要接触中学历史教师的良师益友——《历史教学》月刊,因此,我订阅了贵刊和其他有关历史教学的几种杂志。起初,我见到某些杂志琳琅满目,有美不胜收之感,觉得《历史教学》沉闷、守旧、赶不上新潮流。不料,几年下来,通过阅读《历史教学》,热悉了教材,温故而知新,这时,才突然发现那些琳琅满目的杂志是在兜售商品,而《历史教学》立足宗旨,坚持为中学历史教学服务。它以学术为重,不以高考为赚钞、发财的契机,不刊载片面追求升学率、单纯迎合考生口味的东西,风范可佳。
