佛学在中国传播过程是漫长且复杂,在传入中国后的很长一段时间内,只流通于贵族上层与皇室中,依附神仙道术而行。到了魏晋时期,佛学在中国的传播发生了质的跃变,西域僧侣将佛教教义依附魏晋玄学,推进了佛学中国化的进程及传播。本文从政治、社会、思想等方面阐述了魏晋玄学对佛学的影响及产生原因。
The spread of Buddhism in China is long and complicated. Only a short time after it was introduced to China, Buddhism circulated only in the upper aristocracy and in the imperial clan, attaching itself to immortal Taoism. In the Wei and Jin Dynasties, the spread of Buddhism in China had undergone a qualitative change. Buddhist monks in the Western Regions attached the Buddhist doctrines to the metaphysics of the Wei and Jin Dynasties and promoted the process and spread of Buddhist studies in China. This article elaborates the influence of the metaphysics of Buddhism and Buddhism on the Buddhism in the aspects of politics, society and thought and causes.
