成舍我16岁进入新闻界,由记者做到主编、老板,而后创办多家报纸。身为三十年代北京最有影响的“世界报系”老板,又成功打进近代报业中心上海。有人说他刻薄,有人赞他精明。在他手下工作,薪水不多,然而用人放手,只要有才华,肯卖力气,就能受重用。他的手下流动频繁,然而也人才辈出。张友鸾、包天笑、张恨水、卜少夫,这些近代著名报人都曾是他的雇员。有人说,在他手下工作五年未被炒鱿鱼的人,可受任何报纸欢迎。成舍我可谓中国办报时间最长的人,台湾解除报禁后,已经91岁,还办了最后一份报纸。他也是中国参与办报最多的人,还是世界新闻专科学校的创始人(现名世界新闻传播大学,在台湾省)。 (一) 回味这位前辈的办报生涯,对今人多有启示。成舍我少年时 Into the homes I am 16 years old into the press, by the reporter to do the editor, boss, and then founded a number of newspapers.
