The development of the current fixed-wing small unmanned aerial vehicle (SUAV) is discussed. The aerodynamic characteristics of low Reynolds numbers are analyzed, including the effects of bubble separation and aspect ratio. According to the design performance index, the overall parameters are estimated, and the outline design of the two schemes is completed. The conventional and flying wing layout are adopted respectively, so different low Reynolds number airfoils and wing configurations are carried out, Design results were analyzed aerodynamically. The advantages and disadvantages of the two layouts are discussed, including the take-off and landing performance and stability, and the preliminary design of the overall aerodynamic solution is completed.
