On 30 July, blackouts occurred in 9 states (regions) in northern India, affecting more than 370 million people. On the 31st, a massive power outage occurred on the grid in the eastern, northern and northeastern regions of India, including the capital, New Delhi. The 22 states (regions) once again became paralyzed by electricity, with power supply halting in nearly half of the country and over 670 million people affected influences. In just 35 hours, large-scale power outages have occurred in succession. The short period of time and the heavy load of loss have affected the population and become the largest power outage in the world. The reason for this is thought-provoking. The magazine launched a special report to explore the underlying causes of this incident, as well as the important implications of China’s power grid security.
