镱(Yb)是一种性质较为特殊的稀土元素,对金属材料的合金化作用与效果也与其他重稀土元素有所不同。本文对近年来在铝合金与镁合金结构材料中添加微量Yb的实验研究进行了概述,分析了稀土Yb独特的改性作用和强韧化效果。并结合自身课题组的工作对Yb在镁合金中的合金化改性作用前景进行了探讨和展望,认为Yb是一种在新型铝合金和镁合金的开发中有较大研究和应用价值的稀土元素,尤其是对Yb在镁合金中的作用应重新认识。
Ytterbium (Yb) is a kind of rare earth element with special properties. Its alloying effect on metallic materials is also different from other heavy rare earth elements. This paper summarizes the experimental research on the addition of trace Yb in aluminum and magnesium alloy structural materials in recent years, and analyzes the unique modification and toughening effect of rare earth Yb. In the light of the work of its own research group, the prospect of alloying modification of Yb in magnesium alloy is discussed and the expectation is that Yb is a rare earth with great research and application value in the development of new aluminum alloy and magnesium alloy Elements, especially the role of Yb in the magnesium alloy should be re-recognized.
