自上世纪英语教学盛行以来,有些学者将英语学习神圣化,对英语学习过分重视,导致在国际交流中出现“中国文化失语症”的现象;有些学者认为英语学习是对国学文化的打击,认为英语学习使学生对国学的重视程度急剧下降,学生在英语基础不牢固的情况下又丢失了对本国文化的学习热情和知识积累,将国学文化的退化现象的一切责任归咎于对英语教学的重视,二者不可兼容。笔者认为英语学习不仅仅是英语知识的学习,更是文化的学习这其中便包括,风俗习惯,人文知识,历史意义等。因此作为东方精髓的国学和西方英语语言学习过程二者应该是相互交流、融合的过程。尤其是在建设大学英语选修课上,国学文化与英语学习相融合的研究可以是今后英语学习与教学中研究的一个主要方向。

Therefore, as the quintessence of oriental learning and Western English language learning process should be both exchange and integration process. Especially in the construction of college English elective courses, the study of the combination of Chinese culture and English learning can be one of the main directions in the study of English learning and teaching in the future.
