Usually people see the metal materials are mostly dense, if the use of special production process can make a lot of metal pores, this metal is called porous metal. Porous metal is divided into multi-bubble metal and breathable metal two categories. The main difference between the two is that the pores of the former are independent and have no connection with the outside while the latter are continuously connected. The volumetric effect of porosity in porous metal is called porosity, which is an important index to measure the porous metal. Porosity reached more than 90%, with a certain strength and stiffness of porous metal called foam metal. Such metal pore content is high, the pore diameter up to millimeter-level, almost continuous hole, so it belongs to the ventilation of metal.
