In 2014, the national installed capacity of thermal power reached 920 million kw, of which 750 million kw were coal, 37 million kw for gas and 4% for thermal power. Affected by the slowdown of electricity consumption growth and the rapid growth of hydropower generation, the average utilization hours of thermal power equipment dropped by 314 hours from the same period of last year to 4706 hours, generating the first negative growth in electricity generation (generating 41.731 billion kilowatts, down from the same period of last year)
