As with the creep properties, the compressive strength is one of the important mechanical properties of frozen soils, and it is also an important basis for the basic design in the construction of cold regions. Many researchers have studied the strength characteristics of frozen silt. Haynes et al. studied the effect of strain rate on the strength of Fairbanks silt at -9.4°C. The results of the study show that the strain rate has a strong influence on the compressive strength. When the strain rate increases from 2.9×10 -4 s -1 to 2.9×10 -1 s -1 , the compressive strength increases almost 10 times. Subsequently, Haynes and Karalius studied the effect of temperature on the strength of frozen silt within the range of 0.0423-4.23cm/s deformation speed. They pointed out that the temperature of the frozen soil
