语言是文化的主要表达形式和传播工具 ,语言体现文化 ,是文化的编码手段之一。学习语言不仅仅是学习词语 ,同时也就是在学习文化。从某种意义上来说 ,英语教学中的文化因素及文化观念对学生学好语言起到很重要的作用。要使交际渠道畅通无阻 ,说话者不仅要掌握必要的语言知识 ,有时还有赖于对非语言环境和所学语言国家文化背景知识的掌握。所以 ,在英语教学中不仅要强调训练听说读写技能 ,还应重视言语行为的交际意义 ,即语言形式在各种非语言环境下的不同应用功能以增强学生跨文化交际能力 ,从而取得良好的教学效果。
