In this study, a low-pressure plasma spraying process was used to spray the titanium coating on a 317L stainless steel substrate to prepare titanium-coated implants. The biocompatibility of the implants was studied through animal implantation experiments. The microstructure, coating-matrix interface composition of the implants were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy, electron probe and X-ray diffraction. Etc .; also studied the electrochemical properties of coated implants. The results show that the spraying process has little effect on the mechanical properties of the stainless steel substrate itself. The titanium coating has a good combination with biodegradable titanium coating.
