Aim To study the shade tolerance of Kadsura japonica cultivated in Kadsura japonica. Methods Different shading treatments were applied to the leaves of Kadsura chinensis. The leaf chlorophyll content was determined by 7230G spectrophotometer. The gas exchange data were measured by Li-6400 photosynthesis apparatus. The chlorophyll fluorescence parameters were measured by PAM-2100 pulsed fluorescence spectrometer. Results With the increase of shading intensity, the total amount of chlorophyll, light saturation point (LSP) and net photosynthetic rate (Pn) increased rapidly and then decreased, reaching the maximum at 70% shading treatment, which were (2.013 ± 0.263) The light compensation point (LCP) firstly decreased and then increased, with the increase of 70% shading The minimum treatment time was (4.92 ± 0.20) μmol / (m2.s). The total FV / Fm of photochemical efficiency of PSⅡ reaction center did not change significantly. The photo-electron yield, electron transfer rate (ETR), photochemical quenching (qP) of chlorophyll fluorescence and non-photochemical quenching of chlorophyll fluorescence qN) was the first to increase and then decrease, which was consistent with the change of Pn and reached the peak at 70% shading treatment, which were 0.761 ± 0.027, 3.583 ± 0.674 μmol / (m2.s), 0.990 ± 0.011 and 0.892 ± 0.030. Conclusions Moderate shade is conducive to the growth of S. kansuensis, which is more conducive to the excitation of various enzyme activities under moderate shade conditions.
