HM型高温显微镜是比较新型的一种。它除了能直接观察高温下的金相组织外,还可以进行金属蠕变的研究。仪器由四部分组成(见图):加热台、显徽镜和光学系统,抽气系统和辅助设备。加热台为具有双层水冷套的壳体。加热室直径12厘米,高14厘米,体积为1500厘米~3。可将样品在真空(10~(-5)毫米汞柱)下加热至1550℃,亦可在保护气氛下加热。
