Green space is the city’s natural service system, plays an irreplaceable role in improving the living environment of residents and protecting the balance of urban ecosystems. Based on the statistics of the built-up area, population, urban afforestation coverage, afforestation coverage and per capita afforestation coverage in 1990-2014, this study analyzed the urban scale, population And the trend of development and change of green space. And through the coordination analysis model to estimate the built-up area of the city, population and green coverage area of the dispersion coefficient, reveals the population - built-up area - green coverage area growth rate of coordinated development. The results show that from 1990 to 2014, the urban population first increased and then decreased, and the area of the built-up area and urban greenery coverage continued to expand. The green coverage rate and per capita green coverage area showed a corresponding improvement trend. The imbalance of the growth rate of the built-up area and green coverage area is serious, and the imbalance level is a serious imbalance; the coordinated development level of population and green coverage area is also low, and the imbalance level is a serious imbalance. Overall, the coordinated development of urbanization and green space in Aksu City is in an uncoordinated state. Therefore, in order to achieve the sustainable development of urban environment and ecological environment in Aksu City, efforts should be made to coordinate greening and urbanization, giving priority to and improving the ecological benefits of urban green space.
