林业部机械局主持召开的东北、内蒙营林机械评选会,于八月十日先在我省北镇县召开,八月二十一日在新民县结束,会期十二天。参加这次会议的有辽宁、吉林、黑龙江、内蒙、山西、陕西、河北、河南、山东、甘肃、四川、青海、新疆、北京、天津等省、市、自治区、林业(农林、营林)局、中国林科院林机室、情报所、南京林产化工学院、东北林学院和林业部造林局、种苗局、经营局、“三北”造林局、白城子林机校等单位的代表以及煤炭部、中央电视台、农业出版社、新华社辽宁分社的代表,共七十多人。参加评选的样机有育苗机械七种二十四件,造林机械三种十四件,其它类机械十种。会议期间,与会代表聚精会神地观看了各种机具作业表演,并认真进行了评议,广泛地交流了各地的先进经验。经过评选,大会表奖了十九种机具,其中一等两种,二等九种,三等八种。代表们回顾建国以来营林机械的发展,肯定了成绩,总结了经验。我省北镇县苗圃试制的CT—2插条机,解决了杨树无性繁殖苗的插条问题,填补了我国育苗机械一项空白,是国内外的先进机型,被评为一等奖。同时该圃为手扶拖拉机改制
