The tragedy paradox refers to how we explain the joy we experience in the tragedy of distress, fear, anxiety, and other negative and uncomfortable emotions. In the history of Western literary theory, the paradox of conversionism, control theory, compensation theory and security theory was put forward. These theories have one-sided truth and are faced with difficult problems to be solved. Accurately, in the tragedy, pain and pleasure have their own source, the pain can not be converted to pleasure. Tragedies have different characteristics due to different times and different cultural environments, and tragedies have different sources of happiness.
