知识经济是近年来新兴的一种经济形式，世界各国均十分关注对它的研究。知识经济时代的来临，将极大地提高终身体育的地位并促进终身体育的发展。而终身体育的发展又将为知识经济提供源源不断的健康体魄的高素质人才。为了迎接知识经济时代的挑战，应大力加强终身体育，并逐步建立起终身体育体系，以促进体育生活化社会的形成。
Knowledge economy is a new form of economy emerging in recent years. All countries in the world are very much concerned about its research. The era of knowledge-based economy will greatly enhance the status of lifelong sports and promote the development of lifelong sports. The development of lifelong sports in turn will provide knowledge-based economy with a steady stream of high-quality health personnel. In order to meet the challenges of the era of knowledge economy, life-long physical education should be vigorously strengthened and a lifelong physical education system should be gradually established so as to promote the formation of a life-oriented society.
