阅兵,是一项极其隆重的军事仪式,是体现一个国家的国威,一支军队的军威,一个民族的浩然正气的重要形式。早在公元前,古埃及、波斯和罗马等国就有阅兵的记载。18世纪西欧的一些国家,阅兵式盛行于军队。第二次世界大战时,莫斯科红场阅兵震动了全世界。阅兵在中国源远流长。相传4000多年前,中国北方的华夏部落首领夏禹,曾在现今河南嵩县境内的涂山,与南方各部落首领会盟。会上,众多士兵手持各种用羽毛装饰的兵器,和着乐曲边歌边舞,以示对南方部落首领的隆重欢迎。在中国春秋时期,也有“观兵以威诸侯”的记载。现代的阅兵通常是在国家重大节日或大型军事演习中进行,一般分为阅兵式和分列式。阅兵式是指首长或贵宾在阅兵指挥员的陪同下,乘车、骑马或步行,从受阅部队队列前通过,进行检阅;分列式是指受阅部队从检阅台前通过,接受首长或贵宾的检阅。
