The topic of my speech today is “being a good listener”.
Good listening can always show respect, promote understanding, and improve interpersonal relationship.
Many people suggest that parents should listen more to their children, so they will understand them better, and find it easy to narrow the generation gap; teachers should listen more to their students, then they can meet their needs better, and place themselves in a good relationship with their students; students should listen more to their classmates, thus they will help and learn from each other, and a friendship is likely to be formed.
What I want to stress is that each of us should listen more to others.Show your respect and never stop others till they finish their talk; show you are interested by a supportive silence or a knowing smile; be open-minded to different opinions even though you don’t like them.In a word, good listening can really enable us to get closer to each other.(151词)

如何有效地提高分数?务“实”是关键。
一、平时重实学。考前必须充分理解和记忆所学的英语基础知识。主要包括考纲中规定的所有词汇、短语以及各种句式结构等。今年高考许多考生写不出respect(尊重),generation gap(代沟)等常见词。此外大量的阅读可以加强英语语感,对英语写作起着潜移默化的作用。要学会使用词典,因为合理的使用词典对掌握并运用英语语言也很有帮助。能提高语言使用的准确性,否则会出现许多的低级错误。比如:teacher listen students (老师倾听学生),learn each other (互学),stand for respect (表示尊重),keep quite (保持安静),meet their require (满足需求),realize students (了解学生)等,要学会用英语思维。用英语思维可避免出现汉语式英语。如add understand (增进理解) 应为promote understanding。
二、内容求实在。在书写之前对题目提示的内容要进行梳理。阅卷老师非常注意要点的完整性。今年共有11—12个要点(其中2—3个为个人发挥)。要想得高分要点缺一不可。有些考生的文章100多词,但与要点有关的句子只有一、两句,因此只能被评最低档1—5分。个别考生的内容一看就知道是死背所谓的“书面表达万能模板”,因为内容极其空洞,但最后一段都以last but not least(最后的,但不是不重要的)开头。无实在内容而靠几处点缀是不会得高分的。
三、语法想实招。书面表达鼓励使用较复杂结构和较高级词汇。但有不少考生却因此暴露出太多的错误,这有点得不偿失。首先必须保证正确,在正确的基础上美化句子和篇章结构。如If parents being a good listener, which can understand children well一句不管是条件状语从句,还是非限制性定语从句都用错了。Teacher listen to students can understand them better是典型的汉语式的句子。阅卷中能发现写明全部要点、语言基本无误、行文连贯、表达清楚、句式丰富的最高档文章当然令人兴奋。可惜这样的文章偏少。
四、书写达实效。现在的无纸化网上阅卷是以科技为手段,以规范、准确为过程,更以公正为目标。实行“四评制”给广大阅卷老师提出了更高的要求。每位老师必须怀有高度的责任心长时间地坐在电脑屏幕前安静、仔细地批阅每份试卷。一份书写工整、布局美观的答卷肯定可以缓解视觉的疲劳。相反字体怪异、无法辨认且修改太多的答卷则会增加教师的阅卷难度,影响到最终的得分。
