To maximize the power of wearable systems in mobile computing environments, the interface design must be rigorously matched to the user’s task. In the ideal model for building user behavior, the interface elements must be chosen to meet the specific hardware and software requirements for the particular process. This article details some of the mission studies and interface implementations at the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) wearable computer project team on a six-generation system.
